Recycling our waste to help the environment

At Centreline we make the best use of all of our wide range of wooden materials, nothing is wasted.

Sawdust and shavings from our machining process is extracted to an external silo and then fed into our 300 kW Ranheat wood fired heating system. This provides heating to our factory.

Offcuts are granulated as well into chips and mixed with the dust and used as fuel. This results in not having to send wood-waste to landfill and not using fossil fuels to heat our works much better for the environment as well as saving money resulting in more competitive pricing!

Centreline is currently in the process of implementing FSC & PEFC management systems, which it plans to have in place and fully certified by the end of August 2010.
